I invented and designed the so-suites trademark/logotype, the parent company of two luxury flats: suite BARBERINI VENETO and suite suite FILANGIERI MILLE.
The client addressed me to have a trademark/logotype which infuses elegance, sophistication and could express the essence of the space where people stay: these suites are like galleries, because there are art works that people, during their stay, could admire and appreciate.
The name, chosen by the client, wants to play with the pronunciation affinity of suites and sweet, so sweet, so-suites, so much sweet, sweet like the stay could be in these flats.
As regards the logotype I chose different weights; I chose to write in all capital letters and all lower case to express the contemporary idea and breaking with the classic conception that the first letter has to be in uppercase.
I modified the font of the logotype rounding the type corners to infuse hospitality taking away the sharp-cornered angular aspects.
The trademark is composed by two different size lines, one line highlights the word suites, meanwhile the other is used to divide the words; also here in the trademark the corners were rounded to blend visually and conceptually with the logotype.
The color palette is almost neutral, the shades are grey because so-suites is the umbrella for suite BARBERINI VENETO and suite FILANGIERI MILLE which have specific colors connected with the place where they are.
